Dara & Jorge were generous enough to give me an excuse to travel to New York last weekend to shoot their engagement session! We had a fantastic time touring the city & hearing about the significance each location held in their relationship. Jorge works at the United Nations (which is where they met), so we even got a VIP tour of the place. It was fun to look through the images at the expressions of the people around them while we were shooting! A few favorites...

Laura & Frank - Chappell Hill, Texas

| Engagement

I seriously get to work with the BEST couples. Laura & Frank met up with me in Chappell Hill for their engagement session last week and we had such a relaxing time together. Our hope was to run into a field of bluebonnets, to no avail. But we found a few (like five of 'em) in front of the town post office... so our search wasn't entirely in vain :). I had forgotten I had snapped Frank impersonating Laura's "look back at me" shot. Made me laugh.

These two were so much fun to hang out with. Every time I told them to look at each other they couldn't help but laugh. And Natalie has a contagious smile. They took me to a park they used to hang out at together in the summertime when they were in the 6th grade... that's a story for the grandkids! They brought along their fishing poles in honor of Ricky's proposal to Natalie on a pier. So sweet! Enjoy...

It was a perfect day at the beach last week with Jessica & Jonathan. We started out on the Strand and worked our way down to the water. Pretty much every couple I work with says they've never done a session together before and have no idea what to do. I love watching them warm up to the camera and capturing images like these... I had the pleasure of visiting Sarah & Mando at the family ranch in Bryan for their engagement session last week. I really love new locations & this was no exception. Sara & Alex - Hermann Park - Houston, TX

I knew after our initial (2 hour!) meeting that these two were going to be fabulous to work with. They did not disappoint! Alex called me the day before our session to let me know that Sara's custom engagement ring had finally arrived, but Sara wasn't expecting it in time for our shoot. She planned to bring a "fake" ring for the session instead. We surprised her with a "fake" proposal & the real ring right upfront, which made for a really fun start! I am in love with the images we captured that day... (Blush Makeup Artistry did a fabulous job on Sara's hair and makeup!)

I'm not quite sure what drives me to shoot, edit & post a session all in one day, but alas, I've done it again :). I met up with Amanda & Reid at the Lone Star Air Museum today & we hit up the Strand afterward. It was alot of fun to shoot somewhere different & these two made my job easy... see for yourself... I met up with Sara & Rob this Monday night for a make-up session that we cancelled on Sunday. Although we were able to dodge the raindrops, mother nature made up for it with humidity. I have to say, they held up rather nicely even before Photoshop ;). (And sorry... I know EVERYONE does the arrow picture... I posted it anyway :).

I had alot of fun last weekend with Jeni & Greg. I was thrilled to have Greg bring along his Harley. I think he would've loved to have been anywhere else but in front of my camera that afternoon. But I gotta say, Greg loosened up quite nicely, and in the end I think maybe he counts me as a good friend now ;). Thanks for putting up with me! You guys were awesome! (Check out the Sharpie marker mustaches at the end! Cracked me up...)
