Jessica, Jonathan & Lois the Corpse Flower! - Houston, TX

I'm sure you were all well aware of the fame of Lois the Corpse Flowe r on display at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. And you've most likely heard of Jessica & Jonathan, whose wedding was scheduled right about the time she had decided to bloom and give off her lovely stench! Well, Dianna & I were privileged to cover this intimate and suddenly, quite famous, wedding!

Jessica & Jonathan began and ended their special day at the fabulous Hotel ZaZa. My favorite image of them was completely unposed. They crashed in the easy chairs at ZaZa at the end of the night. Classic! Enjoy the gorgeous colors & fabulous faves!

Katie and Phil were married at the Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral in downtown Houston and celebrated at The Petroleum Club. This wedding just overflowed with emotion. The first dances alone were some of the most meaningful I've been privileged to share. I am blessed with amazing clients!

These two were so much fun to hang out with. Every time I told them to look at each other they couldn't help but laugh. And Natalie has a contagious smile. They took me to a park they used to hang out at together in the summertime when they were in the 6th grade... that's a story for the grandkids! They brought along their fishing poles in honor of Ricky's proposal to Natalie on a pier. So sweet! Enjoy...

Sara & Alex - The Bell Tower - Houston, Texas

Sara & Alex were married at the Bell Tower here in Houston. This was one GORGEOUS wedding! They opted to see each other before the ceremony so we were able to take advantage of some relaxed time together with them. We had fun picking on Alex about his ever-handy cell phone. See if you can spot it :).

Darryl & Company delivered amazing flowers, Susie created another beautiful (and unbelievably yummy!) cake & Cafe Caspian catered a fabulous meal for the evening. Sara's makeup and hair were done by the fabulous Cindy with Blush M akeup Artistry. Feast your eyes... (and that first layout... Dianna, the detail queen, is totally responsible! )

Sara & Rob were married at First Presbyterian Church & celebrated at the Corinthian. Their beautiful wedding was planned and flawlessly executed by Debbie with Elias Events. Plants & Petals did a gorgeous job on the floral arrangements and Susie made their fabulous cakes.

Sara & Alex - Hermann Park - Houston, TX

I knew after our initial (2 hour!) meeting that these two were going to be fabulous to work with. They did not disappoint! Alex called me the day before our session to let me know that Sara's custom engagement ring had finally arrived, but Sara wasn't expecting it in time for our shoot. She planned to bring a "fake" ring for the session instead. We surprised her with a "fake" proposal & the real ring right upfront, which made for a really fun start! I am in love with the images we captured that day... (Blush Makeup Artistry did a fabulous job on Sara's hair and makeup!)

I really can't say enough wonderful things about this wedding. I was privileged to work with some amazing folks, not to mention my gorgeous bride and groom. Valerie Vance Alaniz with Bridal Trends Weddings & Event s planned a gorgeous event and Claudia with A Day to Remember did a beautiful job with the cakes & linens. Gerardo Garmendia & his wife, Angela took care of the videography and did a fabulous job! Dianna rocked the second shooting like she always does...several of the images below are due to her amazing eye! I couldn't have asked for a more professional, friendly group of people to work with and the result was one heck of a gorgeous wedding! Brace yourself for some serious EYE CANDY...

Doug & Elaine - The Wedding - Hotel Derek - Houston, TX

Elaine & Doug had both their ceremony and reception at Hotel Derek... and I have never seen it so gorgeous! They opted to see each other before the ceremony for a "couples" session & it totally paid off. D arryl & Co. handled all the details and did a fabulous job! I had a hard time narrowing down my faves... so ready yourself for a little blog post overdose ;). Check out the little guy with the camera... he was taking pictures of US all night long! (and all credit due goes to Dianna, my right-hand "man", for the fabulous shoe shot & ring shots!)

Laura & Matt - The Wedding!

My goodness. It's been nearly a month and a half since I blogged! Needless to say it's been a very busy few months. Stay tuned for many more blog posts as I get all caught up and share all of our beautiful fall weddings & sessions with you!

I'll start with Laura & Matt. They were married at First Evangelical Lutheran Church & celebrated at the historical Magnolia Ballroom. I LOVED the perspective from the choir loft we were allowed to have at the church and because it was my first time to shoot at the Ballroom I was eating up all the new ideas! Enjoy the faves...

I met up with Sara & Rob this Monday night for a make-up session that we cancelled on Sunday. Although we were able to dodge the raindrops, mother nature made up for it with humidity. I have to say, they held up rather nicely even before Photoshop ;). (And sorry... I know EVERYONE does the arrow picture... I posted it anyway :).
